This first featured Image of the Day was an easy choice because I’ve loved this picture since I took it this past September.
This awesome American Bullfrog (Lithobates catesbeianus) was hanging out amidst some washed-up driftwood along White River in Indiana. Even as the largest type of frog in its native range, the eastern United States, it was almost imperceptible at first glance while it sat there unmoving.
But it’s also more than a cool frog- if you look closely, you can see the shoreline reflected in its eye. Twice the win!
