Featured: Contest Gallery

A nature photography contest means getting to revisit some of my favorite images. Count me in.

My absence of a few days probably makes it look like I’ve had a nice relaxing long weekend. But while I enjoy them well enough, days in the field are usually far from relaxing: Travel times, weather, and general uncertainty are all constant considerations, not to mention accommodating for the fact that wildlife will do what it wants, if it shows up at all.

I’ve got a ton of cool new images to work on, plus another gallery of jiu-jitsu tournament photos from the IBJJF Indy Open earlier this month that I’m organizing to post soon. Meanwhile, I’ve focused my efforts on choosing fifteen of my favorite photos as submissions for the National Wildlife Federation’s annual photo contest. With those now submitted I can breathe a sigh of relief and get back to my Images of the Day, and your work begins- voting for the People’s Choice Award is open until May 1st. Check out the full gallery of my submitted images here, or head on over to the NWF site and cast your votes!
