A Superior Road Trip

Getting away in the Great Lakes.

As someone not overly fond of crowds and noise, it’s my cue to get out of town when people start descending upon the city for the Indy 500. Carl and I decided to head north after throwing around a few ideas, and we kept at it until we ran out of land with the Great Lakes all around us.

Then, the only problem was where to start.

Over those next few days we visited more than a dozen different locations along Lakes Huron, Michigan, and Superior, clocking around thirty-three hours of drive time before finally arriving back home. I’m exhausted, sore, and my physical therapist will probably have some choice words for me. That’s ok. It was worth it.

As the photo downloads complete, my work is just beginning. There are over a thousand to dig through, even after eliminating blurry shots and duplicates. So a few shots from the road will suffice for today; I’ve got a lot to do. I can’t wait to get started.

Oh, I have so much to show you.

Our intrepid dino buddy Miguel leads us to adventure.
