Spar Wars 2025
Having May 4th as the anniversary date for Roll Model Grappling is an opportunity too good to pass up and hilarity always ensues. Last year I made my debut as a masked luchador. This year, unable to participate due to an injury, I compromised with the next best thing: Photos.
The rest of us were underdressed compared to these two Jedi, but the day featured a judo demonstration, matches in BJJ, kickboxing, and MMA, and a goofy round with a capture-the-flag feel in which the opponents tried to steal the other’s socks.
